Marketing strategy internship
Reliance Communications
Marketing Strategy Intern · Mar to Aug 2016 · Mumbai, India
Started my professional career at 16, developing a B2B community-app strategy, market research, and product requirements for a telecom context.
Context
This is where it started, at 16. I made an application prototype for them, built the budget to develop it, and did the market research about the segment. The work even got listed in the DNA newspaper. I self-taught myself everything I could, and this was the moment I learned what the internet could teach me that my school never could. I tried to learn everything within a week after my board exams.
What I did
Made an application prototype for a B2B community concept.
Built the budget to develop the application.
Did the market research about the segment.
Got the work listed in the DNA newspaper.
In my own words
The honest version.
This was the most scared I have ever been at the time, but I had nothing to lose, so I tried to connect with as many people as I could. I loved the environment, and most of my creativity came out because I wasn't responsible for anything there. This was the moment I realized that almost nothing I read at school was in use. Only my research from one week before the internship was valuable and appreciated.
